Wieliczka Salt Mine tours from Krakow
WIeliczka Salt Mine is open for visitors with specially prepared sightseeing route of about 2 kilometers, leading from "Danilowicz" shaft from first level, through vast exhibition of "Museum Zup Krakowskich" located at third level. The underground tourist route constitues only 2% of total lenght of all excavations in mine, it leads thorough 20 chambers located at depth from 64 to 135 meters above the ground. Visitng Salt Mine takes about 3 hours, temperature is constant throughout the year and is 14 degrees Celsius so in the summer days you should take warm clothes. There is a strict ban on smoking and the use of any open fire source.
